Data Collection & Storage

One Day Notes is a completely open platform that does not require student registration, login credentials, or personal profiles. We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

Currently, we do not utilize database storage for your queries or generated notes. All syllabus search interactions are processed transiently.

Search Queries & Syllabus Images

All search terms and educational queries are processed securely. Your queries are checked against our local safety filters and rate-limiting system before being sent to the AI service provider to generate point-wise study notes.

If you opt to upload a syllabus image to provide context for the AI, the image is parsed dynamically to extract text for the AI prompt. We do not store or persist these images in any permanent database.

Analytics & Cookies

We use browser localStorage to temporarily cache recently searched questions and syllabus context. This ensures that switching between learning levels is instantaneous and does not trigger repetitive, resource-heavy API re-fetches.

To improve platform functionality and monitor search volumes, we utilize basic analytics utilities (such as Google Analytics). These tools help us track events like search submission volumes and level changes without associating them with personal identification or transmitting the actual text of your queries.
